What a status means

Each status describes what our checks and your reports showed at the time stated on the page. "Down" means a service did not answer our checks, an official status page reported a critical problem, or network data showed a disruption. It is a measurement, not a claim about why something happened or who is at fault.

Our checks can be wrong. A site can block our checks, a network between us and the service can fail, and reports can be mistaken. Don't rely on this page alone for financial, legal or safety decisions. Contact the service directly.

How we check services

Our checker identifies itself as DownInUSBot. It loads each public homepage every few minutes, does not log in, does not submit forms, and does not follow links. If you run a listed service and want us to check a different public address, such as a health endpoint, tell us.

Using the site

• The site is free to use. Don't send false reports, automate reports, or try to disrupt the service.
• You can link to any page and quote statuses with a link back.
• Service names and trademarks belong to their owners. Listing a service does not mean it endorses us, or that we are affiliated with it.
• The site is provided as it is, without any guarantee of accuracy or availability, to the extent the law allows.

Acceptable use

• Don't submit false or automated reports, or suggestions meant to mislead.
• Don't put personal details, abuse or advertising in report notes. We remove them.
• Don't scrape the site at a rate that affects other visitors. Use the public data endpoints sensibly.
• Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's protections, including the spam check.

Liability

Down US is a free information service provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Extrafemi Labs isn't liable for any loss that comes from relying on a status, an alert or a report, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Reporting a security problem

If you find a security weakness in this site, please tell us privately through the contact form before sharing it publicly. We'll acknowledge it, fix it, and credit you if you'd like. Don't access other people's data or disrupt the service while testing. Our machine-readable contact file is at /.well-known/security.txt.

Corrections and disputes

If you believe a status was wrong, tell us the service, the time and what you saw. We keep the check results behind every status change and will review them. We correct genuine errors and note the correction. We don't remove accurate history.
